Dubailand - Dubai
Dubai has launched one of the biggest construction projects in the world, the $5 billion Dubailand mixed-use theme park, a Middle East answer to Disneyland .

Dubailand is a city of tourism, entertainment and leisure spanning across 2 billion square feet with 45 mega projects and 200 sub-projects . This will be the World's largest Theme Park.

It will be completed in 4 phases. Phase One will see completion 2006-2007 with the core facilities, while the progress of the rest of the project depends on the willingness of the private sector to participate in this immense project with the ending phases completing in 2015-2018 .

To be built on two billion square feet of land behind the Emirates Road stretching from the back of Emirates Hills down almost to The Creek, the theme park consists of 45 separate projects from a space exploration exhibition to full-size dinosaur enclosure.

Dubailand is divided into 6 zones:

• Attractions & Experience World

• Retail and & Entertainment World

• Themed Leisure & Vacation World

• ECO Tourism World

• Sports & Outdoor World

• Downtown

Announcing the project to the Dubai community Crown Prince General Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum called on local businessmen not to keep their money in a bank account but to invest in Dubai.
